A week before Luna’s fifteenth-birthday celebration, I received a call from Pamela — the kind of call that instantly makes your heart race (in the best way).
With only days left before the event, she had a brilliant last-minute idea:
“Let’s add a red carpet… a real Hollywood-royalty moment to match the Victorian Chic theme.”
I almost squealed. As a photographer who lives and breathes photojournalism, this was a dream. A red carpet meant genuine reactions, real emotions, and a chance to capture the magic before the party even began.
But the real plot twist?
Read below:

One minute before arriving at the venue, my phone rings again. It’s Pamela. Her voice, usually calm, comes through in full panic:
“WE HAVE AN S.O.S.! The event photographers aren’t here — they went to the wrong address! Can you help me capture the décor details?”
My soul left my body for a second. I hadn’t brought all my equipment for that type of coverage — I was only scheduled for one hour on the red carpet! But I took a breath and said, “Of course. I’ll do everything I can.”
I walked in nervous… but not nearly as nervous as sweet Luna, who was anxiously waiting for her photographers. And then… the breath-stealing view: the grand hall. It was gorgeous — a real-life dream. Every detail was thoughtful, elegant, and infused with so much love from the family.

And Luna...
A real princess. Her dress, her presence, her kindness — everything about her radiated grace. Her parents and grandmother welcomed me as if I were part of their family. That alone touched me deeply.
Even though I was only there for one hour, it became one of the most meaningful moments I’ve experienced. I truly believe it was divine timing — a little miracle. And if one day I ever found myself unable to reach an event on time (God forbid), I pray that God sends me angels the way He sent me to them.

With love,
Ale
